Elasticity movement




SMOLLTON is an energizing, enjoyable method of fitness based on Cuban music. It was created by Rogelio Smoll Sagarra, professional teacher of modern and folk dance. He got a diploma at the National Art School (ENA) in La Habana and has had numerous and varied working experiences, including international ones. (

He uses different kinds of music such as reggaeton, salsa, merengue and bachata associating the toning up of muscles to the harmonious movements typical of “caliente” (= “hot”) Latino-American dances.

The first part of the lesson consists in warming-up exercises characterized by the movement of every muscular group with the aim of acquiring consciousness of your own body and of all its possibilities of movement.


The central part is dedicated to the creation of short choreographies which will become part of sequences, also repeated many times on the musical bases previously mentioned. Thus you will move “dancing” rhythmically, involving the key parts of your body: abdominal muscles, glutei, lower and upper limbs, and so on…

The final phase of the lesson will be concentrated on a further strengthening of upper, lower and oblique abdominal muscles, to conclude with exercises involving your whole body in order to reach a proper muscular stretching.
